Sex Doll News: Anime & Mini Dolls, Tayu Jenna, Irokebijin, & More

With an eventful July behind us, it’s now August’s turn to shine. Will sex doll brands be able to keep things going for another month? So far, the answer is maybe. This week, brands had anime on their mind with lots of new anime dolls. There were also many attractive Western heads, mini dolls, and even a cow head? You don’t want to miss Chapter 3 of the Piper Doll Drama either. Without further ado, let’s start August off with a bang.

Jinsan Dolls (WM)

Jinsan Dolls released a new anime PVC head called Y014. Almost exactly the same as Head Y013, but with a neutral mouth rather than a smile. The body fits well with the head.

SE Doll shared new photos of their silicone 161cm Annika. An interesting head that’s sometimes portrayed as Asian, and other times Caucasian, but the photographer (Fabrice) gave her an interesting mix of both here.

Elsa Babe

Elsa Babe released a new head called Kino Kayoko. She looks pretty cute, with a mix between anime and realistic. More youthful-looking than their usual non-anime heads – a bit like Marie Rose or Funwest Doll’s silicone Alice.

Doll Forever

Piper Doll and Irokebijin officially merged with Doll Forever, as reflected by their logos’ color changes. Technically, Irokebijin merged with Doll4Ever when they released the HSS series, but it wasn’t officially announced. Now Doll Forever officially owns all 3 brands.

Irokebijin

Irokebijin released 2 new heads and bodies, and a new S-TPE material (which they call “Super Soft Platinum TPE”). I believe this is what they’ll call their new factory’s TPE (not to be confused with other brands’ S-TPE). The new dolls include the 128cm Abby-Y (a new version of Abby) and the 110cm Aisa. Personally, I think the heads look way too big for the bodies – kind of like bobbleheads.

Butterfly Doll (Chapter 3: Redacted)

<I have removed this section after some interesting developments> Read here for the latest update on the drama.

Zelex

Zelex shared a new photoset of their SLE 163cm body with Head ZXE204 in interesting bondage-themed photos.

Jiusheng released a new 156cm B-cup body (156B), a scaled-up version of their popular 148B body. It’s their first-ever body with Real Skin Texture, and keeps the realistic proportions that made the 148B so popular. Although it’s out, there are no promo photos of it yet.

Fanreal released a new Western head called Gina. She has a beautiful and interesting face that’s quite realistic.

6YE

6YE released a new elf head called K173, which reminds me of SE Doll or some other brands. Usually, their new heads look a bit boring or outdated (which is why I rarely show them), but the fantasy theme is nice here.

Tayu released a new head called Jenna, one of the 2 new Western heads for their recent 156E body. She looks quite pretty (with a cutesy “e-girl” look), and these photos show off her body and butt much better than the previous Sora photos.

SY Doll released a new head called M39, which looks pretty cute. With an “anime” feel (probably just the wig) and slightly annoyed face, she looks rather charming.

Climax Doll

Climax Doll returned with 2 new heads and bodies. First, they returned to their BBW roots with the silicone 161cm (SiR161) Tasha. Yet another thick doll with giant breasts that weighs 53 kg (117 lbs).

Next, they released the 163cm (SiT163) Tiffany. With a more modest look, she’s still curvy and thick, but is more manageable at 35.6 kg (78.5 lbs).

XT Doll shared a new photoset of their 164cm Melanie. Dressed as a soldier, you can say she has looks that kill.

SHEDOLL

SHEDOLL teased an upcoming sub-brand called Foxdoll. It looks like a new line for anime heads.

Lace Doll

Lace Doll teased their latest head, ChenLu. Advertised as more mature, she has an interesting look with dark shadows and makeup.

Dolls Castle

I always contemplate whether I should show the latest from Dolls Castle. This week, they released the first-ever cow head called Cowady. The smile just fuels the nightmare even more.. I always think, “If they put an attractive head on this body, they would probably make more money..” However, these heads probably give them attention, but at what cost?

Meanwhile, they also shared photos with their Jovelle head, giving an idea of what this body looks like with a “normal” head. It’s a little better..

Minerva

A new mini doll brand called Mineva launched in Japan and Korea. With silicone dolls around 65cm tall, they’re the latest brand with usable figurine-like dolls. (I don’t know how “usable” it is though)

Speaking of usable figurines, if anyone’s interested in SGD Studio’s upcoming Battle Girl (2B), here’s some more info on it. Compared to their 1st creation (Tifa), 2B will have:

  1. A new, more-flexible skeleton.
  2. Upgraded silicone material, tear-resistant and easy-to-stretch.
  3. Jelly chest (gel breasts) technology, and the hand rod (?) will be better.
  4. More durable makeup, and more realistic skin texture and color.
  5. Upgraded hyper-realistic eyeball structure, which can be moved easily by hand (without tools).
  6. No hole in the back, new crotch stand.
  7. Comes with classic black combat suit. Early bird customers (pre-order) also get the camouflage combat suit.

Also, they’re still optimizing the face and body, so things are subject to change.

Conclusion

That wraps up another week of sex doll news. After an eventful month, the news kept coming this week with a very mixed bag of new releases. Lots of anime heads, some mini dolls, and the cow head. Looks like the Piper Doll drama isn’t over just yet as Butterfly Doll adds Piper Dolls to their lineup. While some things are speculation, the Irokebijin dolls just posted on Butterfly Doll’s website aren’t. Most likely, everyone used to be friends and then had a falling out, and went their separate ways. Butterfly Doll is still working on getting new promo photos for every doll (since most of the original promo photos are inside Mizuwali’s room), so it’ll take a while for them to actually list the dolls. Anyway, last I heard, Piper Doll is still recreating their molds at the new factory. As always, stay tuned for more sex doll news.

Kino Kayoko from Elsa Babe is kinda cute.
On the other hand, those creatures from Dolls Castle scare me.

  2. Rass

If you try to create beasts for sex doll – make them sexy. WTF is Doll Castle doing, feels like some weirdo is in charge there, hard to believe what they do is the smartest thing to do.

  3. Jackson

I wonder how the piper doll and doll4ever merger affect things.

That Fanreal Gina looks hot and exotic.

Yeah that 6YE is sure interesting! But I do agree that a lot of their heads are boring or outdated.

Climax Doll Tasha had some big tits

There goes the Doll Castle nightmare fuel lol.

I always liked Tayu but was always a bit on the fence about their wheat skinned dolls and heads (was more into Azina) but man, their new model looks perfect, they easily have the best makeup artists around (in terms of actual makeup a woman would use, not stuff like Sino which uses makeup to make their dolls more realistic).
(I replied on the wrong post before 😛)

Their photographer (crazedcat/@Sillyconeman) is extremely good too. I think he made every Western head from Tayu look good so far.

      1. Rass

Well, I guess they are smart to find a segment with no competition(I doubt they will ever have anybody completing in this).
I understand I can’t understand emotions of people, especially “enthusiast” who spend time thinking more about a genre of music or type of design. But this is obviously is based on silliness. And this article came at the same time as in the UK a popular animal person was getting wild with actual animals.

In China, the issue of copyright ownership in the doll industry is often unclear, especially unless the brand owns its own factory. Typically, the cooperation model between brands and OEM factories involves the brand providing the concept or design, while the factory bears all development costs, including mold development, product testing, and so on. This indeed saves costs for the brand but also leads to copyright disputes.

The factory does not just participate in production but acts as a partner throughout the entire process. This is the root of the problem. If the brand could, like Apple, bear all the development costs, everything would be much simpler.

    1. BESTSEXDOLLS

      Hi David,
Thanks for the insight. I haven’t heard that factories bear all the development costs before. I have 2 products (unrelated to sex dolls) that I designed that’s made in OEM factories in China. For both, I paid a pretty expensive sample price (which I assume they used to create the mold), and also upfront for all orders, so I never heard of that before. Maybe it’s different for everyone. I’ve always heard that people pay upfront for the mold creation (same with fully-custom dolls).

Although no one knows what Doll Forever’s agreement was with the factory, from what Mizuwali said, it sounds like they worked closely together (“partners”). Still, since the factory did all the development, I can see why they believe they’re entitled to sell the products, and maybe that’s normal in China. I believe Mizuwali designed all the dolls, and carved them in clay for the molds, so he’s still technically the original designer. Maybe they did 3d printing later though.

Basically, the whole situation is tricky. I’m writing about what publicly happened, but there’s many gaps in the timeline, undisclosed agreements, and info no one knows except for the parties involved. One thing is certain, both Doll Forever and Mizuwali claimed that the factory stole their designs and molds. I’m still waiting for Butterfly Doll’s response, but they pretty much said what you said. They did all the development so they don’t consider it stealing.

      1. David

Yes, I also assume the situation might be quite complex. But one thing is certain: if the copyrights were entirely owned by Doll Forever and Mizuwali, they would definitely not authorize their OEM factories. Perhaps only through judicial means can a final conclusion be reached.

Fully custom dolls definitely have absolute copyright ownership. This is because it is purely a commissioning relationship. You pay an agent to realize your design and requirements. They charge all the fees upfront before starting. There are no other interest relationships. This is different from the cooperation model between brands and OEM factories. In the brand and OEM factory cooperation, there are usually still issues of production and marketing division, investment, and profit redistribution.

In short, it’s a complex issue. I hope the matter can be resolved soon so that those lovely Piper Dolls can resume production as soon as possible.

        1. BESTSEXDOLLS

Butterfly Doll replied to me and it’s pretty much exactly what you said. They said they were never paid any development, production, or mold production fees (for any of the dolls), so the idea of copyright or ownership is iffy. However, I have a much clearer picture of everything now. Thanks for the info.

Based on what Butterfly Doll told me, I’m actually neutral on this “drama” now and I’ll address it in my next post. It’s not as black and white as it seems, and there’s some good and bad on both sides..
