The 2025 Shanghai API (International Adult Products Industry) Expo is here, and by now, I have no clue what nth annual year it is. People from all over China and the world travelled to Shanghai this weekend to check out the latest in sex toys and adult products. However, you’re probably here for the dolls. Honestly, I expected a lower turnout this year, but I was dead wrong. The expo was packed with not only thousands of visitors, but countless sex doll brands. Granted, not all of them showed up – namely, Irontech Doll, JY Doll, Zelex, and a few others which was surprising. However, many name-brands like WM and Starpery returned, including several new brands that I’ve never seen before. Now, close your eyes, imagine that you’ve just arrived at the Shanghai API Expo, and let’s explore the wonderful sights together.
Huge thank you and courtesy to 胶享樂 (JiaoXiangYue), an amazing photographer who shared most of these photos.
WM Doll
We’ll begin with the most well-known brands, starting with WM Doll. Surprisingly, this year they branded themselves purely as “WM Doll.” Usually, they go by Jinsan in Asia (and in previous expos). They showed off some familiar dolls including anime dolls, an “AI booth” which I assume was just their Metabox (AI chatbot), and for some reason, a Donald Trump head.

Elsa Babe
Like always, Elsa Babe’s colorful booth attracted crowds from near and far. In addition to the anime dolls this year, they also hired a cosplayer/model who took their booth to the next level. The spotlight was not only on the dolls, but on her as well.

Starpery
Starpery kept their sleek and modern theme going with a large variety of dolls on display. This includes some recent heads like Qingwen, and what looks like their latest 160cm K-cup body.

TOP-CYDOLL
Similar to last year, TOP-CYDOLL went with a dollhouse theme and little display rooms. In addition to recent heads, they showed off a new Zaria head, and Polly on a new 150cm body.

Jiusheng
Jiusheng had a nice variety of dolls in a nurse theme. I think the highlight was a “cute” video they shared of a guy who kept coming back to see the Arisa doll, but I won’t show it for his privacy. You can see it on their Twitter.

Evas Doll
Evas Doll showed off their realistic dolls, including the Rola Takizawa replica. Although I don’t have videos, many people said their dolls felt the most real.

CST Doll
CST Doll returned with the same circular display they’ve always used. However, their dolls were still very attractive in swimsuits and lingerie. They also brought back their animatronic robots, but I couldn’t find a video of them (only photos).

Realing
Realing brought back their muscular male dolls attracting women from far and wide. Two of them were seamless neck, and they did a pretty good job with the implanted hair and styling.

Dolls Castle
Dolls Castle had many new dolls – some of which I was going to show in the next news post. However, one of them is quite the abomination (a vagina mouth) so I’ll play it safe and put it under spoilers. There’s also a 168A body that I think looks better than their usual bodies, and a new squirrel furry doll (their best furry doll thus far?).
AiZhiMei (Aimi)
A brand that’s at every expo, AiZhiMei, showed off quite a lot of dolls. As a budget brand with supposedly “too-good-to-be-true” promo photos, it’s always interesting to see their dolls in-person. For the price, they look pretty good, though I never see any reviews on them.

YQ Doll
Similarly, I’ve shown YQ Doll a few times, but their promo photos look deceivingly better than in-person. They don’t look too bad though given the price.

Maggie Doll
A new brand that I’ve never seen before called Maggie Doll. They only had 3 dolls on display, but they look interesting.

Chiwu Healthcare
Another brand I’ve never heard of, but I recognize some of the posters in the back. They have an interesting variety though I can’t say much else about them.

Dream Star
Here’s a figurine doll brand that some vendors like MRD carry. I believe they’re around 60cm so they look pretty small, but they’re much more detailed than other similar brands.

NPG
NPG is a well-known brand that makes JAV-licensed masturbators. I had no idea that they also made sex dolls, or at least, they had 2 dolls at their booth. Could they be JAV replicas?

PT Doll
Another new brand that I don’t know the actual name of. I’ll just call them PT Doll..

Yuanshiren
And one final new brand is called Yuanshiren. Despite looking a bit like other brands, they have some cute dolls including some mini anime ones.

Conclusion
That wraps up all the brands I’ve seen so far, though there could still be more. While there wasn’t as much as the previous Guangzhou expo as expected, there was still quite a lot. Since the expo is still ongoing, there’s no conclusion yet.. I’ll finish this later.
