After a heavy April shower of news, things finally began to dry up. This week, sex doll brands wrapped up the month with some remaining bits of news. Although there were a couple new heads, JY’s articulated toes, and IDO Doll upgrades, 90% of the week was just new photosets. But considering how good doll photography has gotten, they’re always worth a look. Now that you know what to expect, let’s jump straight into it.

SE Doll

SE Doll began pre-sales for their upcoming Aryana head (in the Silicone Elf Series). Not sure why there’s a pre-sale, but it’ll be discounted for 2 weeks. As previously-teased, the elf head comes in 3 makeup styles, which is simply called A, B, and C, and each style looks fairly unique. Personally, I think they look pretty good with matching color schemes.

JY Doll

Back in business, JY Doll released “articulated toes” and “standing without bolts” (hard feet) for their silicone dolls. Some much-needed feet upgrades. And speaking of “articulated toes,” SE Doll also released this feature about 2 months ago which I missed, so good time to mention that.

Elsa Babe

Continuing to upscale their heads, Elsa Babe released a new head called Hayakawa Coco – which is simply Hayakawa Saaya scaled-up (from 148cm to 165cm). Just more options for their taller bodies, and the outfit is pretty cute.

Additionally, they released a new head called Aihara Kaya on their 148cm body. Another happy anime head, but I like her overall style and eyes more than their other ones.

Pip

Pip teased 3 new heads for their TPE 120 body (all of which are seamless neck/AIO on the same body). The first head is called Eleanor while the other 2 haven’t been named yet.

This comes right after they released three 120 AIO dolls a few weeks ago, which I didn’t cover. This is a new 120 body (not the same as the 120 Agnes) and came with 3 head options. Personally, I find their 120 proportions a bit weird (like an upscaled figurine) but it’s worth seeing their change in direction.

Fanreal

Fanreal shared 2 new photosets, starting with their 170cm Fei. Showcasing a Western and Asian head each time, I like the traditional style here.

They also brought back their Maria (ROS) head on the 155F body with a new, youthful look. I think she looks fairly cute and sporty here, which reminds me that they have different sized heads for each body.

Starpery

Starpery shared a boatload of new photosets, starting with the 160K Jin from the recent expo. It’s their most recent body with somewhat cartoonish proportions, but it’s unique nonetheless.

They also paired their classic Elizabeth head on the body above (160K). With WR 4.0, she’s only 32.5 kg (72 lbs), so it’s an interesting choice for big booty fans.

To speed things up, I’ll skip the torso dolls and “fat Ivory” (from the expo) and just show the 176C Kelly. In traditional attire, it’s the first time they portrayed her as Asian, which works out.

MMX Doll

Last week, I showed some early nudes of the new 172cm body and Mengying head. This week, MMX Doll released the full photoset featuring a classy look, like a modern-day princess.

Lusandy

Lusandy shared new photos of their silicone 170cm Belle. The innocent-looking Belle has been showcased on every body now, from 159 to 170, and fits great on each one.

EXDOLL

EXDOLL shared new photos of their 168R Erin in a nun outfit. Not sure where the sexy nun cosplay originated from, but it seems very popular.

Firefly Diary

Speaking of fully-clothed (technically the nun outfit above wasn’t), Firefly Diary shared new photos of their silicone 160cm Lian. From schoolgirl to “assault team,” I like the tactical outfit and black color scheme a lot.

Meanwhile, their 165cm Xifeng returned to school, but as a teacher this time. A simple yet very cute dress-up.

Sanhui

Sanhui continued promoting their latest 159cm body with Head 41 (Caiyue) with a 5th photoset, this time as an angel. Despite having Real Skin Texture, nude photos still aren’t their style, but at least she looks very angelic.

Jarliet

Back in action, Jarliet released a new head called Xinxin on their silicone 152F body. A relatively cute and dollish head that fits the body (unlike last week’s bobblehead).

BQ Doll

BQ Doll (Ban Qu) returned with a new head called Xiaowu, shown on two bodies. Also cute with a somewhat intense stare.

XT Doll

XT Doll shared new photos of their 163F Mila and 157D Yunxi. A relatively stark contrast between a Western cowgirl and Japanese maiden.

IDO DOLL 3.0

Since there wasn’t much news this week, I’ll wrap things up with IDO Doll’s latest 3.0 upgrade. Although IDO Doll seemed incredibly quiet since launch, they’ve been actively improving their dolls behind-the-scenes. The 3.0 upgrade is an automatic/default upgrade of all their dolls (started after Feb 2025).

Weight Reduction

Since launch, IDO Doll used Starpery’s Weight Reduction 4.0, which is both lightweight and soft. But despite this innovation, there were regular defects and other issues. According to IDO Doll, they made improvements that significantly reduced problems such as delamination.

Increased Softness

They supposedly made their breasts and butts softer and more durable, with more standards and consistency.

Real Skin Texture

All their bodies have Real Skin Texture now. Not sure if this is by default or an option, so double check with your vendor.

Body Paint Upgrade

Their body makeup was upgraded from 3 layers to 5 layers depicting vein details and realistic skin texture.

Skeleton Upgrade

Supposedly, they remeasured and customized their skeleton, as well as adjusted the size and tightness. Unfortunately, this part is a bit vague. They also improved the wrist joints in the hands, and are adding articulated toes onto all their bodies (currently only 165D and 170D have it).

And to quickly breeze through the last upgrades, they made the transition area of the hard hands and feet (where the material changes) less visible, will use “handmade resin eyes” which will have brighter whites, more realistic pupils, and other details.

Conclusion

That wraps up a relatively short week of sex doll news. I know, I always say there was no news and then proceed to throw 200 photos at you. Though to be fair, it was like 90% new photosets. This week, brands like SE Doll, Pip, and Jarliet returned to their roots with elves, AIO, and cute dolls. MMX’s 172cm Mengying was my personal highlight of the week, though IDO Doll’s 3.0 upgrades were also interesting. Additionally, Shedoll released a new TPE 152cm A-cup body, but it was a bit too risky to show. Otherwise, it was a mostly quiet week without many releases or teasers.

In US news, the de minimis exemption officially ends this week on May 2. Thanks to the exemption, there hasn’t actually been any tariff fees on dolls as of yet. However, that changes soon.

On the plus side, a knowledgeable US vendor, RealLoveSexDolls, suggests that there won’t be any price increases. Several brands and vendors plan to absorb all or most of the fees with slower shipping via FedEx DDP (Delivered Duty Paid – shipper will pay the import fees for you). However, I’m curious whether that changes after May 2 or not. Will this impact the current meta of brands mass-shipping dolls to in-stock warehouses (which includes Zelex’s SLE collection)? As long as there are no more tariff increases, prices could potentially stay the same (according to one vendor at least). I can’t say the same about cheap doll clothing from websites like Aliexpress and Shein though. I guess we’ll wait and see what happens next. Stay tuned!
