On June 15, 2021, Elsa Babe issued a formal apology on Twitter for the infamously long production times of their silicone sex dolls. Elsa Babe is known for their extremely lengthy production time, usually taking over 4-5 months to produce one doll. This is by far the longest production time among any sex doll manufacturer in China, only outmatched in wait-time by American companies like RealDoll and Sinthetics which take over 6 months. On average, most Chinese silicone manufacturers take 1-3 months to produce a doll (TPE dolls usually take less than 1 month), so many people aren’t willing to wait 4-5 months for their doll to arrive. Needless to say, many Elsa Babe customers have expressed anger and outrage over the past year at the unexpectedly long production time for their expensive dolls.

Elsa Babe released a long series of tweets on Tuesday expressing their apologies and their plans to speed up their production time. They also shared many photos of what looks like many completed dolls ready for shipment.

According to Elsa Babe, they already implemented several measures that will speed up their production time, such as “[improved] the mold line, make-up fixation technology, better product packaging, more details, and so on.” (Quite vague) They also made a bold statement promising that starting May 2021, all orders will be completed within 20 working days, which would be 4-5x faster than before (with the exception of special customized orders). This is really huge news. We can only wait and see if it’s true or not.

Elsa Babe also stated that their goal is to shorten the production time to under 2 weeks by the end of the year, which if possible, would make them one of the fastest silicone doll manufacturers, but that is to be seen. To accomplish this, they stated, “Elsa Babe managers will stay in the workshop, and the production masters, makeup artists and all other in-house fellows will work overtime overnight.” This seems a bit unexpected and strange in my opinion. They plan to have their employees stay overnight and work overtime, which may be too demanding on their workers in the long-term. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how this turns out.

Big props to Elsa Babe for recognizing their flaws, owning up to their mistakes, and creating steps to fix their problems. If you were hesitant to order from Elsa Babe before due to the long wait times, then that may be a thing of the past. Supposedly, if you order one of their beautiful dolls today, you might receive her within one month. Be sure to ask Elsa Babe or your vendor.
