On May 17, 2021, Starpery released a new weight reduction option for their TPE dolls that can reduce the weight by up to 13 kg (depending on the body)! Starpery will be joining JY Doll and WM Doll in their TPE weight-reduction efforts, which is an important step for the sex doll industry. Because weight has always been a major issue for doll owners, the doll community will be happy to hear about this weight-reducing trend. Note that Starpery already has a foam core in their silicone dolls. They are now introducing it to their TPE dolls. Previously, it was thought that TPE dolls can’t have a foam core because of the production process. Normally, the hot, liquid TPE would melt the foam, but Starpery seems to have found a way around it.
According to The Doll House New Zealand, a vendor of Starpery, the Weight Reduction/Foam Core Option will reduce the weight by 7-13 kg depending on the body type. For example, the 161cm C-cup will decrease from 38kg to 28kg (a huge 10kg or 22 lbs difference). Although the option is already available to the public, it is still in testing phase, so the first few customers will be guinea pigs in the Weight Reduction experiment. Currently, no one knows whether the Weight Reduction will negatively affect the softness or have any other potential downsides. Again, this option is only for Starpery’s TPE dolls, and not their silicone dolls. If your vendor hasn’t listed this option yet, you should contact them and inquire about it.
